Redemptorist Church, Roman Catholic church in Hernals, Austria.
The Redemptorist Church is a Gothic Revival parish building in Hernals with a three-part nave painted in green and gold. Sandstone reliefs depicting the Mother of Perpetual Help decorate the interior space.
The church was built in the 19th century as a Gothic Revival structure for the Redemptorist parish. Following severe bombing damage during 1944 and 1945, it underwent extensive reconstruction.
The church holds a replica of the venerated image of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, drawing pilgrims and worshippers to the space. This sacred focus connects local devotion to a broader spiritual tradition.
The church stands at Clemens-Hofbauer-Platz and is accessible by several tram lines. Regular services are held, and visitors can enter during opening hours to view the interior.
An Andreas cross from the third quarter of the 18th century adorns the building and is attributed to Baroque sculptor Josef Stammel. This ornate piece survived the wartime destruction.
