Volksgarten is a public park in Linz's city center, situated between the main railway station and Landstrasse. It features wide pathways, varied green spaces, and several monuments spread throughout the grounds.

The park's history began in 1828 when coffeehouse owner Bartholomeo Festorazzi bought the northern part of today's grounds. In April 1829 he opened the site to the public with a folk festival in the presence of Emperor Franz I. After Festorazzi's death in 1835 his widow continued the festival operations, but they were unprofitable and closed in 1852. The city of Linz bought the land in 1858 and extended it south in 1877.

The park serves as a gathering place where people from the neighborhood enjoy strolls and moments of rest. Its open spaces and pathways encourage visitors of all ages to spend time outdoors together.

The park is easily accessible from multiple directions since it sits in a central location. Visitors looking for a relaxed walk will find wide, level paths suitable for everyone.

Since 1956, an annual Christmas market has taken place here during Advent, drawing visitors into the holiday season. The park also hosts nature-themed festivals throughout the year.
