Volksgarten, Public park in Inner City district, Linz, Austria.
The Volksgarten spans 3.2 hectares between the main railway station and Landstrasse, featuring wide paths, green spaces, and multiple monuments.
Bartholomeo Festorazzi established the northern section of Volksgarten in 1828, opening it to the public as a festival ground in 1829.
The park contains memorials dedicated to notable figures, including poet Franz Stelzhamer and physical education pioneer Friedrich Ludwig Jahn.
The garden underwent renovations in 2012, adding new pathways and transforming paved areas into green spaces to complement the adjacent Music Theatre.
Since 1956, the Volksgarten hosts an annual Christmas market during the Advent season, while also serving as venue for nature festivals.
