Kalksburger Pfarrkirche

Kalksburger Pfarrkirche is a church building in the Liesing district that was constructed between 1793 and 1801 to replace an earlier chapel. The interior features a high altar painting of Saint Peter's liberation and decorative ceiling frescoes that illustrate religious stories.

Franz von Mack commissioned the construction of this church from 1793 to 1801, replacing an earlier chapel at the site. The building rose during a period when Vienna was expanding its religious structures.

The interior displays ceiling frescoes painted by Joseph Keller that show scenes of Creation and the Last Judgment. These religious narratives shape the visual experience inside and connect visitors to faith traditions expressed through art.
