Myra Falls, Natural monument waterfall in Muggendorf, Austria

The limestone gorge stretches over 600 meters with 26 winding bridges and walkways leading visitors along cascading waters through multiple levels.

Emperor Franz II and Empress Maria Theresa visited the falls in September 1801, commemorated by a plaque at the entrance of the gorge.

The Austrian Tourist Club established hiking trails in 1885, protecting the falls from industrial development and preserving them for future generations.

The site features parking facilities 300 meters north of Muggendorf, with restaurants available at both the beginning and end of the gorge.

Five million liters of water flow daily through the falls, originating from the Myrabach stream that starts in the Unterberg limestone massif.
