Schloss Deutschkreutz, Renaissance castle in Deutschkreutz, Austria.

Schloss Deutschkreutz is a Renaissance castle in Austria featuring a four-wing structure with double-story courtyard arcades. Corner towers and stucco decorations characterize the exterior appearance of the building.

The castle was built in 1492 and initially belonged to the Kanizsay family. In 1535, it passed to the Nádasdy family through a marriage alliance.

The castle houses the Lehmden Museum, displaying artworks and exhibitions that reflect the artistic traditions of the region. Visitors can observe how local and regional artists have their works presented within this historical setting.

The castle sits about five kilometers from the Hungarian border and offers guided tours through preserved rooms. It is advisable to check visiting times in advance.

Inside the castle stands a chapel founded in 1632, featuring original frescoes and furnishings from the period. This small religious space retains its painted walls and tapestries from when it was built.
