Mödlinger Hütte, Alpine club hut in Admont, Austria.
The Mödlinger Hütte is a mountain refuge in the Ennstaler Alps at 1523 meters elevation with space for 34 guests and warm shower facilities. The building also has a seminar room that can accommodate up to 30 participants.
The facility was founded in 1904 and has served mountain hikers in the Gesäuse National Park region ever since. Its establishment reflects the growth of alpinism in this part of Austria during the early 1900s.
The hut is part of the 'Mit Kindern auf Hütten' program, offering dedicated family-friendly accommodations and activities for children of all ages. Many families use the place to introduce their children to mountain hiking.
You can reach the hut via several hiking trails, such as a 2.5-hour climb from Gaishorn am See or a 5-hour hike from Admont. Parking areas nearby allow you to leave your car safely before heading up the mountain.
The facility received environmental recognition in 2010 for meeting sustainability standards. This certification shows a commitment to responsible practices in mountain tourism.
