Schreckenspitze

The Schreckenspitze reaches 2022 meters in elevation and features exposed ridges with grass-covered slopes and scattered rock formations throughout its terrain.

The mountain path includes remnants of old stone oil extraction activities, with a preserved wooden hut marking the former transportation routes through Bächental valley.

Local mountaineers traditionally approach the summit through multiple routes, including the technical path from Achenkirch and the longer southern route via Schleimssattel.

The ascent requires 4 to 5 hours to complete, covering 17.3 kilometers with 1150 meters of elevation gain from the Seealm Achenkirch parking area.

The mountain connects to neighboring Sonntagsspitze through a narrow ridge that demands precise navigation and becomes particularly challenging during wet conditions.
