Venet

Glanderspitze is a mountain summit in the Oetztal Alps that reaches 2,512 meters and features a network of forest trails and alpine meadow paths. Multiple marked routes start from the Venet Cable Car mountain station at 2,212 meters and lead toward the peak.

The mountain lies on the European Long-Distance Path E5, which follows historic trading routes across the Alps that merchants used for hundreds of years. This ancient passage shows how mountains connected people over a long period of time.

The Gegenwartskapelle near the mountain station displays architectural designs created by local priest and artist Herbert Traxl, blending religious purpose with artistic vision. This small chapel reflects how faith and mountain life remain closely connected in the region.

The Venet Cable Car transports visitors directly from Zams to the mountain station, eliminating long low-altitude climbs before reaching the higher trails. Once at the station, hikers should plan sufficient time for summit walks and be prepared for changing mountain weather conditions.

At Gogles Alm, visitors can taste cheese made with traditional alpine methods right at the dairy location. This mountain pasture operation demonstrates how agriculture has been practiced at this elevation for many generations.
