Burg Bideneck

Burg Bideneck is a medieval castle in Fließ, Tyrol, with a residential tower that rises prominently and shapes the local landscape. The tower displays typical defensive features including narrow arrow slits and thick walls that have preserved the structure through the centuries.

The castle was first recorded in 1339 when Heinrich der Potzer documented it under the name Pybenekke in written records. This early mention shows that the structure was already an established building in the region by the 14th century.

The structure maintains twelve dovetail battlements atop its keep, representing architectural elements from different construction periods through Austrian history.

The site sits on a moderate slope, so sturdy footwear and caution during wet weather are recommended when visiting. The property now contains vacation apartments if you wish to stay overnight or spend extended time at the location.
