Schloss Eichbüchl, Historical château in Katzelsdorf, Austria

Schloss Eichbüchl stands as a noble residence featuring architectural elements from the early 20th century, including its distinctive confectionery-style design from 1906.

The castle's origins trace back to the 14th century with the Lords of Vierding, though the current structure emerged after potential destruction during the Turkish invasions.

From 1964 to 1977, the castle hosted the Eichbüchl Talks, where international professors including Henry Kissinger and Paul Lazarsfeld gathered for academic discussions.

The castle remains in private ownership under industrialist Walter Burghart since 2012, with visitors permitted to view the exterior and read the commemorative plaque.

In April 1945, Karl Renner drafted the first government proclamation of the Second Austrian Republic within these castle walls.
