Schloss Goldegg

Schloss Goldegg is a five-story castle with a yellow plastered facade and a western tower featuring a marble entrance portal. The structure displays typical medieval architectural elements with thick walls and regular window openings arranged across its different levels.

The castle was built in the 14th century under the control of the Salzburg Archdiocese. It initially served as a fortification to protect trade routes before being converted into a residential palace.

The Pongau Folk Museum displays traditional crafts and everyday objects from the Salzburg region. Visitors can see how people once lived and worked in these surroundings.
