Schloss Haunsperg is a four-story stone castle in Oberalm featuring towers on its eastern and western sides topped with curved baroque tent roofs. A striking arcade front with marble columns forms the main entrance area and defines the castle's architectural character.

The castle first appears in written records in 1365 when it belonged to Ekhart Prennär von Haus. Michael von Haunsperg purchased it in 1388, and the property remained in noble hands for centuries, taking the name by which it is known today.

The chapel east of the castle was built in 1675 and is dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua. Its bell carries the year 1570 and the coats of arms of the Kuen-Belasi and Thannhausen families, while the interior furnishings date from the early 18th century. A three-column open porch stands on the north side.

Schloss Haunsperg stands at Hammerstraße 51 in Oberalm, south of Salzburg. The main access runs through the eastern tower, where the arcade front rests on marble columns at ground level. The chapel of St. Anthony of Padua lies just east of the main building, with an open porch on three columns to the north and a sacristy to the south.

A mechanical tower clock dating to around 1580 is installed in the castle chapel and remains one of the oldest functioning timepieces in Oberalm. Its continued operation demonstrates the technical skill that craftspeople possessed even in that distant era.
