Schloss Kornberg is a Renaissance castle near Riegersburg featuring four towers surrounding a central courtyard adorned with ornate architectural details. The building contains multiple exhibition spaces that showcase collections and artistic displays throughout its interior.

The castle was first documented in 1284 and served as a defensive fortress along the Hungarian border. The Lords of Kornberg eventually sold the structure due to financial difficulties.

The castle houses one of Europe's largest carpet collections alongside art galleries and intricate miniature recreations of historical castles. These exhibitions reflect the craftsmanship and passion for historical detail that shaped the space.

The castle is privately owned and used mainly for cultural and tourist purposes. The ground floor holds around 400 square metres of exhibition space, used each year for an Oriental carpet exhibition and large Easter and Christmas exhibitions. A restaurant and an arts-and-crafts shop are in the building, and the Haus der Region in an outbuilding hosts courses and seminars. The Meierhof at the foot of the castle hill houses the permanent model collection "Welt der Schlösser" and a planetarium.
