Saint Martin Church, Parish church and cemetery in Sankt Paul im Lavanttal, Austria.

Saint Martin Church is a parish building in the village with a simple stone exterior and a bell tower above the main entrance. The church includes a cemetery adjacent to the building for local burials.

The church was founded around 1140 by Amelbert von Kholniz. Its core is Romanesque, with Gothic, Baroque and late 19th-century alterations; a 1998 restoration reconstructed the Baroque architectural polychromy. The Gothic choir has a five-eighth close, and the church preserves a 1587 gravestone of Leonhard von Kholniz and a 1591 plaque of Barbara Windischgraetz.

The church is dedicated to Saint Martin; its 1777 baroque high altar carries a statue of the saint, flanked by figures of the peasant saints Isidor and Notburga. The churchyard around the building holds the grave of Leonhard von Kholniz, dated 1587, and a small plaque for Barbara Windischgraetz from 1591.

The church is located in the village center and is easy to reach on foot. Visitors can access the grounds during daylight hours to view both the building and the cemetery.

The building displays regional architectural styles typical of Carinthia, Austria's southernmost state. These local features make it a good example of construction methods from this Alpine region.
