Bürkelkopf

Bürkelkopf is a mountain summit reaching 3030 meters where Switzerland and Austria meet along their border. It forms a key point within the Silvretta Arena ski resort, which spans both countries.

The region became important in the 20th century when local people created routes connecting Switzerland and Austria across this border area. These paths later formed the foundation for the modern ski resort we see today.

Snow covers the peak reliably from November through May, providing consistent winter conditions in this mountain region. This extended snow season keeps the ski resort running smoothly throughout the winter months.
