Sender Himmelhof is a transmission facility in Ober Sankt Veit that broadcasts radio and television signals across the region. The installation uses multiple antennas positioned at different heights to transmit on various frequencies and reach different areas.
The facility was established to bring broadcast signals to western Vienna, where the Kahlenberg mountain could not provide adequate coverage. This enabled reliable radio reception for the first time in Ober Sankt Veit and surrounding neighborhoods.
