Wallfahrtskirche Kleinholz

Wallfahrtskirche Kleinholz is a baroque pilgrimage church in Kufstein featuring a central layout with an octagonal tower integrated into the southern side of the building. The structure includes short transept arms that create its distinctive cross-like shape.

An earlier chapel stood at this location before 1600, but was replaced by a baroque central building constructed between 1679 and 1681 through community donations. This rebuilding transformed the site into a fully developed pilgrimage destination.

The high altar displays a painting of the Visitation of Mary alongside sculptures of Saint John and Saint James, showing how these religious figures hold special meaning for visitors who come to pray here.

The church complex includes a guesthouse offering single and double rooms for spiritual retreats, with meals provided upon request. Visitors should know this facility is designed primarily for quiet, contemplative stays rather than casual visits.

The flat ceiling displays a fresco titled 'Veneration of the Precious Blood of Christ' created by painter Richard Holzner in 1939. This artwork is a notable example of ceiling painting from that period and adds a personal artistic touch to the space.
