Martinskirche Deutsch Schützen

The Martinskirche features a single-nave Gothic choir, an apse with five-eighths closure, and buttresses supporting the structure's Romanesque architectural design.

Archaeological excavations in 1970-1971 revealed foundations of an earlier Romanesque church and a Roman cemetery, along with ornamental double capitals from the medieval period.

The church houses a memorial plaque commemorating Jewish forced laborers who gathered at this location during World War II in March 1945.

Located 800 meters from the town center, the Martinskirche contains historical elements including a 16th-century tombstone of Georg Debreczenyi on its southern wall.

A bell from the first half of the 13th century, originally belonging to the church, remains preserved in the Pfundner collection in Vienna.
