Schloss Limberg bei Wies, Steiermark

Schloss Limberg bei Wies is a medieval castle in Styria featuring a central gate tower and two corner towers linked by galleries to the main building. The entire complex displays a structured layout that clearly shows its original defensive purpose.

The castle was first documented in 1244 as Lindenperch and served to protect the passage toward Carinthia. Renaissance modifications in the late 16th century transformed it from a pure fortress into a noble residence.
