Villa Epstein, Protected heritage villa in Baden, Austria
The Villa Epstein stands with symmetrical design elements and features decorative iron railings integrated into its architectural composition at the edge of Vienna Woods.
Built as a summer residence by architect Otto Wagner during the late 19th century, the villa later became a studio and museum for artist Ernst Fuchs.
The villa represents a significant example of Jugendstil movement architecture, incorporating both ornamental qualities and functional design elements that influenced modernist construction.
Visitors can observe the architectural details of the villa year-round, including the innovative use of materials and the integration with the surrounding natural landscape.
The property contains an Orangerie wing with large glass windows, which was converted into a game and pool hall for the Wagner family in 1895.
