Sankt Hippolyt, Gothic church in Eferding, Austria.
Sankt Hippolyt exhibits intricate stone carvings, tall pointed arches, and ribbed vaulting throughout its three-nave hall church structure.
Construction began in 1451 under architect Jörg Windisch from Passau Cathedral, with completion of the current form occurring in 1505.
The church underwent changes between 1560 and 1626 when the Schaunberg counts adopted Protestant teachings, followed by re-catholization from 1630.
The parish office arranges guided tours of the church upon telephone request, allowing visitors to explore the architectural details.
The twin spiral staircase leading to the choir represents one of only three such architectural features found in Austrian churches.
