Catholic parish church in Bad Hall

Catholic parish church in Bad Hall, church in Bad Hall, Upper Austria, Austria

The Catholic parish church in Bad Hall is a stone building with neo-Gothic style featuring pointed arches and a tall tower reaching about 60 meters high. Inside you find colored stained glass windows, a high altar carved from French sandstone, detailed side altars, and a 29-stop organ installed in 2000.

Construction of the church began in 1869 and was completed in 1888 based on designs by architect Otto Schirmer from Linz. A major renovation took place between 1985 and 1988 to repair the tower foundation and ensure the building's stability for future generations.

The church serves as a gathering place where the local Catholic community comes together for worship and celebrations throughout the year. You can observe how this building remains central to people's lives, marking important moments like baptisms, weddings, and seasonal festivals.

The church is easy to reach on foot from Bad Hall's town center and has nearby parking available. Wheelchair access is possible, although some accessibility standards are not fully met throughout the building.

The church tower faced collapse due to weak foundations, prompting a major rescue effort during renovation between 1985 and 1988 that saved this structure. This restoration work preserved one of the most beautiful neo-Gothic towers in the Upper Austria region.
