Pfarrkirche Zwingendorf, Roman Catholic parish church in Zwingendorf, Austria.
Pfarrkirche Zwingendorf is a Roman Catholic parish church in Großharras featuring a longitudinal nave and a recessed choir that narrows toward the back. A slender bell tower with corner pilasters and round-arched windows rises from the southern side.
The parish was established in 1784, and the late Baroque building was constructed shortly after. Following a fire in 1796, the church was reconstructed while incorporating parts of an earlier structure.
The church is dedicated to Saint Lawrence, whose statue appears in a niche on the front facade. This connection to the saint defines the spiritual identity of this house of worship.
The interior contains a four-bay nave with archways along wall pillars, barrel vaults, and colored glass windows installed in 1930. An organ gallery mounted on two pillars sits above the entrance area.
The organ gallery rests on just two massive pillars, giving the interior an unusual spatial arrangement. This design was chosen to keep the choir area open to view from the main floor.
