Pfarrkirche Inzersdorf ob der Traisen

Pfarrkirche Inzersdorf ob der Traisen, Parish church in Inzersdorf-Getzersdorf, Austria.

Pfarrkirche Inzersdorf ob der Traisen is a parish church featuring a five-story north tower with plastered corners and barrel-vaulted windows set beneath a gabled roof. The building displays typical rural church architecture from earlier centuries with these characteristic structural elements.

The building originated as the church of Unter-Inzersdorf parish around 1140 and was later placed under the monastery of Klein-Mariazell. In 1784 the church came under the administration of Herzogenburg Abbey.

The interior displays religious artwork and statues from the 18th century, including representations of saints in the side sections. These artistic elements shape how visitors experience the sacred space and reflect the devotional practices of that era.

The church is located in a rural village and is easily accessible from the surrounding area. Opening times follow the schedule of services and special religious celebrations, so it is advisable to check local information beforehand.

The church preserves a bell cast in 1517 that has survived several centuries, making it one of the oldest objects in the building. The baroque pulpit is decorated with the coat of arms of Klein-Mariazell monastery, showing the historical connection between the church and the cloister.
