Pfarrkirche hl. Laurenz, Japons

The church stands prominently in Japons, featuring a Baroque construction with Gothic elements in the choir section and an eastern tower structure.

The church site originated around 1100 as a subsidiary church, and in the mid-12th century, it became incorporated into the Geras monastery.

The church houses wooden marble-effect altars with column structures, statues of saints, oil paintings, and an organ built by Josef Huber in 1955.

The church and cemetery are enclosed by an extensive wall, with the parish house located on steep terrain to the west of the main building.

Two bells within the church structure date from 1761 and were crafted by Johann Georg Scheichel, marking centuries of continuous religious service.
