Pfarrkirche St. Christophen, Gothic church in St. Christophen, Austria

The parish church features three naves forming a pseudo-basilica with a stepped choir and a northwestern tower with a characteristic hipped roof.

The church dates back to 1040 and contained a Romanesque building with a choir quadrant from the first half of the 11th century.

The high altar, created by Peter Widerin in 1730, displays a baroque painting by Daniel Gran depicting the patron saint Christophorus.

The building underwent several restorations, including exterior work in 1958 revealing the stone tower and interior renovations in 1991 and 1998.

The church gained importance as a pilgrimage destination for motorists due to its dedication to Saint Christopher, the patron saint of travelers.
