Pfarrkirche Stützenhofen

Pfarrkirche Stützenhofen is a Gothic church with a simple hall design marked by a square tower on its facade. The interior displays pointed arch windows and a recessed choir, creating a modest yet structured space.

The church was built in the 14th century as a Gothic structure and underwent Baroque alterations in 1667. A westward expansion in the 18th century shaped its present form.

The choir displays features from different periods and preserves tombstones of the Fünfkirchen family from the 15th to 17th centuries. These memorials tell the story of a local noble family that shaped the region across generations.

The church is open throughout the year as it belongs to the Poysdorf parish of the Archdiocese of Vienna. It is advisable to check service times as religious functions are held regularly.

The altar painting depicts the Coronation of Mary and dates to the late 19th century. The organ gallery rests on a flat ceiling, an unusual feature for its time.
