Schloss Walkersdorf, Château in Grafenegg, Austria

Schloss Walkersdorf is a three-winged, two-storey building forming a cour d'honneur, located in the Kamp lowland just under 1 km northwest of Etsdorf am Kamp in the municipality of Grafenegg. The present structure dates from the end of the 18th century. Its main front facing the settlement carries classicist elements that accent an otherwise very sober, modernised building.

Walkersdorf is first recorded in the Göttweig Urbar of 1302/22, which names "Tiemo de Walkersdorf" and "dominus Ulricus de Radeprunn de Walkersdorf". The estate changed hands repeatedly over the centuries, passing among owners including Stift Melk and the counts of Breuner and Stubenberg. The present three-winged building forming a cour d'honneur dates from the end of the 18th century, not the 19th.

The name Walkersdorf appears in the Göttweig Urbar of 1302/22, where "Tiemo de Walkersdorf" and "dominus Ulricus de Radeprunn de Walkersdorf" are recorded. Today the building holds apartments, a wine estate and a Heurigenlokal, so visitors can stop for wine and food in a former manor.

The building is privately owned and not open to visitors inside, but can be viewed from outside along the street. The location sits in Walkersdorf am Kamp on Schlossstrasse and is reachable by car, ideally as part of an excursion into the cultural landscape around Grafenegg.

The Göttweig Urbar of 1302/22 names "Tiemo de Walkersdorf" and "dominus Ulricus de Radeprunn de Walkersdorf", the earliest trace of the estate; the present three-winged building itself dates only from the late 18th century.
