Water Worlds Krimml, Interactive water museum and park in Krimml, Austria
Water Worlds Krimml is a museum and park facility at the base of the Krimml Waterfalls, with multiple exhibition spaces and an Aquascenarium for waterfall observation. The facility combines educational exhibits with direct access to one of Europe's largest waterfall systems.
The facility opened in 2013 to educate visitors about water's history and science. The waterfalls themselves have drawn visitors to this mountain region since the 1800s.
The exhibition explores how Alpine communities have worked with water throughout history, from glacial sources to modern village water systems. You can see how water shapes daily life in this mountain region.
The facility is open daily from mid-April through October, with the last entry at 4:30 PM. Free parking is included with the combination ticket.
The Krimml Waterfalls drop in three stages: the upper fall of about 140 m, the middle of about 100 m, and the lower of about 140 m. Visitors with combination tickets reach the Aquascenarium by a path from the base; the spray is heaviest in early summer, when snowmelt swells the flow.
