Kamerni teatar 55 is a theater in central Sarajevo with seating for 160 spectators arranged on three sides. The venue operates from Maršala Tita 55 and provides an intimate setting for smaller productions.
The theater was founded on March 7, 1955, and has continued operating ever since. During the 1992-1995 conflict, it maintained its productions, staging 28 shows throughout those years.
The venue presents plays by writers such as Beckett, Chekhov, and Shakespeare alongside regional authors like Abdulah Sidran. Audiences experience a mix of European classics and local productions that brings everyone closer together in the intimate setting.
