Neerpelt

Neerpelt is a municipality section in the Belgian province of Limburg stretching along the Dommel River and the Bocholt-Herentals Canal. The area features connected pathways along the waterways and provides access to parks and cultural facilities throughout the region.

This section existed as an independent municipality until December 31, 2018 before merging with Overpelt. This consolidation created the new municipality of Pelt and represented a significant administrative change for the region.

The Provinciaal Domein Dommelhof brings people together for music, crafts, and circus performances throughout the year. The Dommel River shapes the landscape and connects the community through its waterways.

Het Klankenbos contains 15 permanent outdoor sound installations representing one of Europe's largest collections of this art form. Visitors can discover these works while walking through the natural surroundings.
