The Saint Waltrude Collegiate Church features 29 chapels arranged around the main nave, transept, and chancel following a Latin cross layout.
Construction of the church began in 1450 under architect Matheus de Layens, with work continuing on different sections until its completion in 1621.
The church houses an extensive collection of religious jewelry in its Treasury, including the reliquary containing the remains of Saint Waltrude.
The church welcomes visitors daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with official guided tours available through advance reservations at the Tourist Office.
The Golden Coach, a wooden vehicle with Louis XVI style decorations from 1780, participates in the annual Trinity Procession known as Doudou.
