Lippensgoed-Bulskampveld

The Lippensgoed-Bulskampveld extends across 230 hectares of green space and 90 hectares of domain forest, featuring varied landscapes of heathland, meadows, and woodlands.

The name first appeared in 1149, deriving from Germanic 'bulnas campa' meaning bull field, with the current neo-Gothic castle constructed in 1893 by Count Henri de Meeus.

The provincial domain maintains a substantial herb garden containing 400 plant species and serves as an educational center for environmental studies and nature appreciation.

The domain offers extensive walking and cycling paths throughout its grounds, with information and maps available at the visitor center located next to the castle.

The area forms part of the largest continuous forest region in West Flanders, containing protected Natura 2000 habitats along the Bornebeek stream.
