Middelheim Museum, Outdoor sculpture museum in Nachtegalen Park, Belgium
The Middelheim Museum extends across 30 acres of parkland, presenting 400 sculptures from international artists within natural surroundings.
The site evolved from a medieval estate referenced in 1342 to become a dedicated sculpture museum after its official opening in 1951.
The museum collection includes works by Auguste Rodin, Carl Andre, and Franz West, displayed along a 750-meter pathway through landscaped gardens.
Between June and July, visitors can explore the outdoor galleries from Tuesday through Sunday between 10:00 and 21:00.
The Braem Pavilion, designed in 1971, houses delicate artworks from the permanent collection with exhibitions changing twice annually.
