This memorial ground is a cemetery located on a steep slope with rows of crosses, Stars of David, and concrete monuments arranged among cherry trees. The site includes multiple grave markers and a 1970 memorial featuring a tall stele.
During World War I and II, German occupation forces carried out executions at this former shooting range, accounting for roughly 296 victims. The site was transformed into a memorial cemetery after 1945.
The burial ground displays names and religious symbols honoring those executed for their political beliefs. Visitors encounter personal inscriptions and markers that represent different faith traditions of the deceased.
Visitors can enter through Rue Colonel Bourg 102 in Brussels' Mediapark area, near the RTBF-VRT media complex. The site is accessible on foot and open for quiet reflection.
A 1970 memorial was built on the grounds containing an urn with remains from concentration camp victims, honoring an unidentified Belgian political prisoner. This unusual structure links remembrance of different forms of wartime suffering in one place.
