The Théâtre Royal des Galeries features red and gold velvet fittings, a dress circle, and a monumental chandelier within its Italian-style architecture.
The theatre opened its doors on June 20, 1847, as part of the Royal Saint-Hubert Galleries complex, designed by architects Jean-Pierre Cluysenaar and Paul Bonduelle.
The theatre presents numerous productions throughout the year, featuring works by Molière, Shakespeare, Tchekhov, Tennessee Williams, and contemporary playwrights.
The venue accommodates 850 spectators and offers ticket sales at its box office, open Tuesday through Friday from 11 AM to 6 PM.
The interior decoration includes an original fresco by Belgian artist René Magritte, adding artistic value to the Art Deco design of the theatre.
