KOPERGIETERY

Kopergietery is an arts centre and theatre in Ghent operating from two venues: KG Blekerij and KG Rabot. Both locations host drama, dance, and music performances.

The organization began in 1978 as Speelteater Gent under Eva Bal's direction. It took the name Kopergietery in 2001 and moved into a former copper foundry building.

The center creates productions where professional performers work alongside children from its drama workshops, developing stories rooted in personal experiences. This mix of professional theatre and community participation shapes the institution's approach.
