Peace Mill, Protected windmill in Klerken, Belgium.
The Peace Mill stands on a 43-meter elevation along Molenweg road, featuring a stone construction with an observation platform at the upper level.
Built in 1879, German forces used the mill as a strategic observation post during World War I until its destruction in 1917.
The Friends of Peace Mill Association organizes memorial ceremonies, focusing on World War I events and commemorating war pilot Baron Willy Coppens.
The mill site connects to multiple walking paths, including Heuvelpad trail, and cycling routes between nodes 10 and 62 of the regional network.
The mill forms a historical triangle with the Belgian Military Cemetery in Houthulst Vrijbos and the Three Canals at Merkem.
