Castle of Ribaucourt

The castle of Ribaucourt is a fortified residence in Steenokkerzeel with a U-shaped layout, two stories, and walls built from sandstone and brick. Rectangular towers mark the structure and reflect the different phases of construction over time.

The castle began as a wooden tower in the 12th century and underwent major rebuilding during the 1600s and 1700s. These renovations gradually transformed it from a military stronghold into an aristocratic residence that continued to be modified through the 1800s.
