Den Bell, Public office complex in Antwerp, Belgium

Den Bell consists of a central 58-meter tower and surrounding office buildings at Francis Wellesplein, accommodating over 2000 municipal employees.

The Bell Telephone Manufacturing Company established its first foreign branch in Antwerp in 1882, with architect Jean-Laurent Hasse designing the initial complex in 1896.

The building represents the evolution from telephone manufacturing headquarters to municipal administration center, marking a significant shift in urban development.

Den Bell functions as the central administrative office for Antwerp city services, featuring modern workspaces and designated meeting areas across multiple floors.

The tower incorporates an open staircase design that required specific engineering solutions to meet fire safety regulations during the 2006-2009 renovation.
