Primorsko, Beach resort in southeastern Bulgaria
Primorsko is a seaside town on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast with two main beaches situated between a marshy area to the north and a river mouth to the south. The location offers direct sea access surrounded by natural areas.
The settlement began in 1879 when four families founded a place called Kyupriya, which was renamed in 1934. It was officially developed as a state resort in 1953.
The Historical Museum displays regional artifacts, including maritime objects and traditional Bulgarian folk costumes from different periods. The collections show how coastal residents lived and worked over the centuries.
The town is well connected by bus, located about 50 kilometers south of Burgas via route 99. During off-season months, some services and amenities may have reduced operations.
Nearby lies Beglik Tash, a megalithic sanctuary with rock formations from the 13th century BC, connected to a coastal cape by ancient walking routes. This archaeological site reveals the long human presence in the coastal region.
