The Hotnishki waterfall drops 30 meters into an emerald pool, forming two separate streams as water cascades down the large rock formation.
The Bulgarian authorities designated the waterfall and its surrounding river gorge as a protected natural landmark on April 21, 1971.
Local residents and visitors regularly gather at the waterfall site to celebrate traditional Bulgarian customs and participate in regional festivities.
The waterfall remains accessible throughout the year via a short path from the parking area, located 2.5 kilometers west of Hotnitsa village.
The waterfall maintains a constant flow even during summer months, while the surrounding eco-trail extends 1.5 kilometers through varied terrain and smaller cascades.
