St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, Grodno

The brick cathedral stretches 60 meters in length and 30 meters in width, with two towers rising against the Grodno skyline.

Construction of the cathedral started in 1678 under Jesuit supervision, and the first Mass took place in 1700 with final consecration in 1705.

The cathedral contains thirteen altars and holds the revered image of Our Lady of the Snows, transferred to the new temple in 1664.

The cathedral stands in the center of Grodno, serving as the main Catholic church of the diocese and maintaining regular religious services.

The cathedral houses Europe's oldest tower clock mechanism, which continues to function after more than 600 years of operation.
