Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library

The Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library maintains a collection of over 5 million items, including books, periodicals, and scientific publications from various disciplines.

The library, established on February 16, 1925, has evolved from two initial rooms into a substantial research facility supporting academic advancement in Belarus.

Named after the Belarusian poet Yakub Kolas, the library preserves manuscripts and documents that reflect the development of Belarusian literature and printing traditions.

The facility provides workspaces for researchers and students, offering access to specialized collections organized according to the Universal Decimal Classification system.

The library conducts archaeographic expeditions throughout Belarus to discover and preserve historical documents that expand understanding of regional intellectual heritage.
