Mogilyov Zoo, Zoo in Mahilyow, Belarus.
This private zoological facility houses approximately 70 animal species across 124 hectares along the Dnieper River, featuring spacious enclosures designed to replicate natural habitats for mammals, birds, and other wildlife.
Established in 2004 and officially opened on May 9, 2005, the zoo began as a private initiative that developed into a regional center for animal conservation and public education programs.
The facility incorporates a traditional Belarusian ethnographic village museum showcasing early 20th-century rural life, complete with craftsman workshops, traditional houses, and cultural demonstrations for visitors.
Open daily from 10:00 to 17:00, the zoo charges 10 rubles for adults and 7 rubles for children aged 3-14, with additional services including guided tours, horse riding, and railway safari experiences.
Visitors can experience a 2-kilometer narrow-gauge railway journey through the grounds, offering close encounters with European bison, deer, and other native Belarusian wildlife species in semi-natural settings.
