Pischalauski Castle, Neoclassical castle in Minsk, Belarus

Pischalauski Castle is a three-story neoclassical mansion with four corner towers located in Minsk. The building stands on Valadarski Street and currently serves as a detention facility.

Architect Kazimierz Chrzczonowicz designed the mansion in 1825 for landowner Rudolf Pischallo. The residence served as a private home before being converted to its present administrative use in later decades.

The castle displays neoclassical design features that shaped how wealthy landowners expressed their status in 19th-century Belarus. Its four corner towers and balanced facade remain characteristic of how such estates were built during that period.

The building is not open to visitors as it operates as a state facility on restricted grounds. The exterior is best viewed during daylight hours when the architectural details are most visible.

One of the castle's four towers experienced a partial collapse in 2008, revealing the fragility of this two-century-old structure. This damage highlighted the challenges facing historical buildings as they age and require ongoing attention.
