Braslaw Lakes National Park, National park in Vitebsk Region, Belarus
The national park spans 70,000 hectares of land containing over 300 lakes formed during ancient glacial movements in northern Belarus.
The territory received national park status in 1995, protecting numerous lakes including Drivyaty, the fifth largest lake in Belarus at 36 square kilometers.
The park administration center operates in the city of Braslav, which developed between Lakes Drivyaty and Novyaty, preserving regional environmental education programs.
The park maintains multiple recreation bases including Drivyaty, Slobodka, Lyavoshki, and Zolova, offering accommodations and outdoor activities throughout the seasons.
The Chaichin Island on Lake Strusta, measuring 1.6 square kilometers, contains its own interior lake, making it a geological formation within the park.
