Ahinski Manor in Zaliessie, Neoclassical palace complex in Zaliessie, Belarus.
Ahinski Manor in Zaliessie is a palace complex in the Neoclassical style centered on a white two-story main building with symmetrical wings and columned entrance. The facade displays large windows, and the grounds contain a romantic park with open green spaces that stretch across the property.
The estate was designed in 1822 by architect Mykolas Angelas Šulcas for Michał Kleofas Ogiński after he returned from exile. The construction marked the beginning of a new chapter for the landowner and the community around it.
The manor served as a gathering place where musicians and writers came together to perform and share their work. This tradition of artistic exchange gave the residence its distinctive character in the cultural life of the region.
Visitors enter through the main entrance and can explore the palace rooms and the exhibition about the resident's life and compositions. The park grounds offer space for walking and should be included in any visit to the complex.
The resident composed a famous polonaise in A minor within these walls, a work that remains a deeply personal expression of attachment to home. The piece was created while overlooking the romantic parklands that surround the property.
