Temagami, municipality in Nipissing District, Ontario, Canada
Temagami is a small municipality in northeastern Ontario within Nipissing District. It spreads across a landscape dotted with lakes, forests, and islands that shape how the settlement is organized and how residents interact with their surroundings.
The area was long inhabited by Anishinaabe peoples and later became important in the fur trade. In the 1800s it developed into a destination for canoeists and outdoor enthusiasts from southern regions.
