Circuit Riverside Speedway Ste-Croix, 5/8 mile oval and 1.7 km road course in Sainte-Croix, Quebec, Canada
Circuit Riverside Speedway Ste-Croix is a racing venue in Sainte-Croix, Quebec, with an oval track measuring about 5/8 mile and a separate road course stretching 1.7 kilometers with nine turns. The paved surface allows cars to reach high speeds while providing varied challenges for different types of racing.
The track opened in 1971 but closed just three years later due to financial difficulties. New management took over in 1985 and reopened the venue, which has since hosted numerous racing series and competitions for drivers across the region.
The name Riverside Speedway reflects its location near a waterway, a common feature of Quebec's landscape. The place draws racing enthusiasts who gather to share their passion for motorsport and participate in organized driving experiences together.
The venue sits roughly 60 kilometers west of Quebec City on the south side of the St. Lawrence River and is straightforward to reach. Parking is available, and food vendors and other facilities are on-site during racing events.
The original road course used part of the oval track and climbed a hill beside Route 132, measuring around 2.5 kilometers. In 2000, a shorter road course of 1.7 kilometers was constructed, giving the venue greater variety for different racing events.
